You may not have heard of Fiona Fung before, but you most probably have listened to her voice on TV or on the silver screen. Long before she decided to come into the spotlight as a "newcomer" singer, the talented young musician was already an active player behind the pop music scene, singing TV commercial tunes, blockbuster movie and idol drama theme songs, as well as providing lyrics for other singers.
In 2003, Fiona received some well-deserved recognition with a housing estate commercial song titled "Proud of You". Sung in English, the tune later became a huge hit when it was remade by Joey Yung into the Cantonese version "My Pride", which swept the "Song of the Year" awards at several music awards that year. This indirectly paved the way for Fiona's inevitable jump to the forefront. In 2008, Sony BMG signed her, and her debut album A Little Love arrived in November of that year.
This album is a compilation of some of her works for commercials, TV dramas and movies, such as: "The Glorious Death" for The Twins Effect (Track 1), "Goodbye, Sir" for Infernal Affairs (Track 14), "Won't Be Your Lover" for Single Blog (Track 27), and "Shining Friends" for TVB's Heart of Fencing (Track 13). Also included is an additional DVD containing the music videos of three songs, "Sunlight, Rain", "Mars Aborigine", and "The Lucky One", all of which were written by her.
